Forty-five minutes to downtown Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC, two hours to Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC, and the idyllic mountain villages of Highlands and Cashiers, NC less than an hour’s drive. The isothermal inversion of the Carolina escarpment is in short, a micro-climate that makes life here pleasant year-round.  We have cool summers, mild winters, and a colorful fall and spring. This is a result of the isothermal breezes that run along the Carolina Escarpment (where the meadows meet the mountains). Play golf or enjoy the lake nearly every day of the year.

Your waterfront home here wont have the threat of hurricanes. But you can visit the beaches of Charleston in a quick 3 ½ hours. Winters rarely require more than a sweater or jacket, yet you can hit the ski slopes of Banner Elk’s Sugar Mountain, Blowing Rock or Beech Mountain in less than 2 hours.
