Let us be your lake guide.

This area has blossomed in the last decade, as knowledgeable people have learned this is the largest man made constant level lake east of the Mississippi! It isn’t easy to know where to start your search for the perfect home. We can give you trustworthy, unbiased insight to help you from beginning to splashdown. Whether you’re interested in a lakefront estate with a private dock, an easy-care townhome, an existing home or home site, Jay Scott Real Estate can guide you through all the options throughout the many private communities and public offerings in the area.

I have a passion for this lake. The clear emerald waters of Lake Keowee are the most inspiring setting I’ve found in all my years in real estate. Let me give you an insider’s advantage. It costs nothing to put our solid experience to work for you.” --Jay Scott

A golfer’s mecca.

Lake Keowee is home to some of the finest championship golf anywhere, with two courses by Tom Fazio, two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses and another by Arnold Palmer…the only lake in the world with this collection of golf designers! With property ownership, you could also have access to nearby private courses by Gary Player, Ben Wright, Tom Jackson and a new Tiger Woods course, his first design in America. A prime location.

Lake Keowee is the perfect lake escape that keeps you close to everything you love about the South. Forty-five minutes to downtown Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC, two hours to Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC, and the idyllic mountain villages of Highlands and Cashiers, NC less than an hour’s drive. Close to airports and interstates, residents here easily maintain their careers, if they care to.

Let’s talk about the weather.

The isothermal inversion of the Carolina escarpment is in short, a micro-climate that makes life here pleasant year-round.  We have cool summers, mild winters, and a colorful fall and spring. This is a result of the isothermal breezes that run along the Carolina Escarpment (where the meadows meet the mountains). Play golf or enjoy the lake nearly every day of the year.

Your waterfront home here wont have the threat of hurricanes. But you can visit the beaches of Charleston in a quick 3 ½ hours. Winters rarely require more than a sweater or jacket, yet you can hit the ski slopes of Banner Elk’s Sugar Mountain, Blowing Rock or Beech Mountain in less than 2 hours.
