Jay Scott – 30 years experience in master planned communities, resorts, and commercial... both domestic and internationally

Jay was raised in College Station, Texas; his father a Professor of Chemistry at Texas A&M, and his mother an interior designer. Jay went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Geography from Texas A&M.

After graduation, Jay promptly applied for and was granted a real estate license from the state of Texas. He pursued his love of the water by working in real estate at Horseshoe Bay on Lake LBJ, the only man-made, constant-level Lake in Texas.

In August of 2002, Jay was invited to look at a new development on the largest man-made, constant-level lake east of the Mississippi, South Carolina’s Lake Keowee. The developer was The Cliffs Communities. Jay was asked to help initiate a new Cliffs community around a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, called The Cliffs at Keowee Falls South.

Jay, and his wife Jennifer, were impressed with the beauty of the area and found the climate far superior to 100-degree Texas temperatures. In January of 2003, after helping their son, David, enter his freshman year of college, Jay and Jennifer moved to a beautiful lakefront home on Lake Keowee, where they still live today.

Jay Scott has had the distinction of being one of the The Cliffs Communities’ consistent top producers and has received numerous awards for his work. Jay and his family also had the unique opportunity to watch The Cliffs Communities and The Reserve at Lake Keowee grow up around them, giving Jay an insider’s view that few in the business can claim.
