About Me

Jay Scott – 30 years experience in Master Planned Communities, Resorts, and commercial real estate... both domestic and internationally.

Jay was raised in College Station, Texas; his father a Professor and Department Head of Chemistry at Texas A&M, and his mother an interior designer and a graduate of The New York School of Interior Design.  Jay went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Geography from Texas A&M.

After graduation, Jay promptly applied for and was granted a real estate license from the state of Texas. He pursued his love of the water by working in real estate at Horseshoe Bay on Lake LBJ, the only man-made, constant-level Lake in Texas.

In August of 2002, Jay was invited to look at a new development on the largest man-made, constant-level lake east of the Mississippi, South Carolina’s Lake Keowee. Jay was so impressed with the beauty of the area and found the climate far superior to 100+ degree Texas temperatures and humidity. In January of 2003 he moved to a beautiful lakefront home on Lake Keowee, where he still lives today.

The developer was The Cliffs Communities®. Jay was asked to help initiate sales at a new Cliffs Community® on Lake Keowee around a new Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, called The Cliffs at Keowee Falls South®. Then Jay went on to help with sales of The Cliffs Communities® third golf course on Lake Keowee designed by Tom Fazio called The Cliffs at Keowee Springs®.

Jay Scott has had the distinction of being one of The Cliffs Communities®’ consistent top producers and has received numerous awards for his work. Jay also had the unique opportunity to watch The Cliffs Communities® and The Reserve® at Lake Keowee grow up around him, giving Jay an insider’s view that few in the business can claim.
